Therefore the DRM and the like that the companies add is mostly an added wall between the legitimate consumer and the product which in the end only gets on the consumers nerves. If there wasn't a Torrent available for that product then they simply wouldn't purchase it either way. The majority of people who pirate are those who lack the required funds to purchase the product that they are after, so they pirate it. I can see why pirating is a big deal to distributers however I don't think that it affects the product in question's sale very much. I am not an expert when it comes to computers. Sorry if these questions are a bit naive.

So does anybody have any other ideas how I might be able to install FSX? Any tricks? Is there a way that I could install it on my wife's computer and then transfer it over to my hard drive using an external? I tried installing FSX using a homegroup and my wife's computer, but the Microsoft installer won't allow it.

The issue isn't isolated to my FSX DVD, as it seems I can no longer burn MP3s either. This doesn't surprise me, since I use STEAM and haven't needed my CD drive in ages. Lately I had the urge to play again, so I decided to reinstall, but now there appears to be something wrong with the cd drive on my computer (it's a little aged), and it is not recognizing that there is even a CD inside. I had it uninstalled from my laptop for quite some time to free up resources. I hate to turn this into a tech support question, but I am really desperate.įSX is one of my all time favorites.
